Advanced clear aligner treatment at Synergy Orthodontics
Angel Aligners are an advanced clear aligner system offering a discreet, comfortable and effective way to straighten teeth. At Synergy Orthodontics in Dublin, we provide Angel Aligners as a modern alternative to traditional braces for children, teenagers and adults.
Led by Dr Paula Sinnott, Specialist Orthodontist, our practice offers fully personalised orthodontic care using the latest digital aligner technology. Dr Sinnott has completed a Fellowship in Aligner therapy and won awards for her dedication to biomechanics of using aligners with complex cases. She only works with the best providers of aligners and has significant experience in aligner treatment. Most of our patients who need treatment, opt for aligner treatment whether they are 7 or 70. Angel Aligners are ideal for patients seeking high-quality orthodontic treatment with minimal impact on daily life. Aligners in combination with the remote monitoring system provided by Synergy Orthodontics means that your treatment stays right on track. You still need to visit us but less often than conventional old fashioned systems meaning less time off work and school.
Virtually invisible when worn, they also require translucent attachments placed on the teeth to ensure ultimate subtle efficiency.
No dietary restrictions- easier for your child to eat and brush in comparison to fixed train track braces.
Smooth edges reduce irritation in comparison to bulky brackets
Suitable for mild, moderate and more complex orthodontic cases. Designed to deliver controlled, consistent effective tooth movement. Aligners now have features which make them superior and more streamlined compared to old fashioned ways of treating certain cases.
Angel Aligners are custom-made, clear orthodontic aligners designed to gradually move teeth into a healthier, more balanced position. They are made from thin, transparent material with an anti-reflective surface, making them extremely discreet when worn.
At Synergy Orthodontics, every Angel Aligner treatment plan is:
Angel Aligners use an innovative aligner system that applies gentle, controlled forces to move teeth efficiently and comfortably. You also have translucent grips on your teeth called ‘attachments’ which make tooth movement more controlled and efficient.
Your treatment is planned in stages using advanced 3D digital technology, aligners are designed with the end in mind giving ultimate control. Because the treatment is pre-planned, many patients require fewer adjustment visits compared to traditional braces.
This system allows:
Do I need to attend every week to get the aligners?
No, you are given a batch of aligners and usually you attend every 8-12 weeks depending on the staging of your plan and what is required.
Angel Aligners are suitable for a wide range of orthodontic concerns, including crowding, spacing, bite issues and alignment problems. The most appropriate treatment depends on individual assessment.
At Synergy Orthodontics, we carry out a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation to determine whether Angel Aligners — or another orthodontic option — is best for you or your child. Some patients wonder about different brands, remember it is not the brand you are buying, it is the expertise of our Specialist Orthodontist who treats patients mainly with aligners and works with several aligner companies and can advise you the best treatment for your case. If you do not want aligners, there is usually an alternative plan.
The feedback that we receive from our patients is that they are generally more comfortable and easier than fixed braces (from those who had braces already elsewhere). Patients may feel mild pressure when switching to a new set of aligners, which is normal and temporary. If it is particularly sore – you can take what you normally take for a headache although most patients don’t need to.
